Nick Deschenes
WKF Owner, CFL2
Nick was introduced to CrossFit in 2016 and fell in love with the methodology immediately. The variety and intensity substituted his former athletic self as a professional hockey player. Nick is a student of the sport and has competed all over North America narrowly missing the CrossFit Games in 2021. He is seen leading group classes as well as programing and coaching local athletes of various athletic backgrounds.
Emilee Enns
BHK (Kinesiology), BCAK, FMT1
When one of her team training clients accomplishes something they’ve been working towards, Emilee’s pride and excitement rival her client’s own. Emilee is invested in the physical, mental and emotional success of the individuals she trains. All of it a positive result of her own personal struggles and triumphs.
“I gain weight really easily, and know how it feels to plateau. I get the frustration of working hard but not seeing results. Now, as a trainer, I know how to overcome that plateau, see results and gain the confidence that comes with it.”
Emilee’s personal goals on the horizon include a focus on personal nutrition – bringing out the best in herself while she helps others do the same.
Celine Leclair
CFL1, CPT, RNBN
From working in the hospital Celine has seen what ill health looks like, she has seen what it looks like to not take care of yourself and let your health suffer and it has fueled her passion to help people get healthy.
Celine has always been big into athletics, first as a gymnast, then high school group sports, followed by a passion for running completing two half marathons. Celine started working at West Kelowna CrossFit as a personal trainer and not only fell in love with the sport but has developed a passion for competing in CrossFit competitions and also coaching and encouraging others to develop their best self.
Celine continues to work as a nurse, a 1:1 trainer, and coaches CrossFit classes which gives her a special edge and approach to coaching which includes supporting and encouraging health in all it’s different forms, mind, body, and soul.
Scott Wasden
CFL1
Scott grew up training to play competitive sports. His main passion was hockey where he played professionally. Throughout his sports career he has participated in a wide variety of training styles and methodologies. Three years ago he found CrossFit and quickly fell in love with the variety, challenges and community it provided. He sees CrossFit as a sport that can help anyone achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. His participation in this sport enhances his performance and ability to carry out his duties as a career firefighter.
Scott is excited to pass on his positive experiences about trying a new form of training and help others stay motivated while they improve on their fitness.
Jess Wilson
R.H.N., CFN L1, Specialist in Gut & Hormone Health
Jess is our in-house Registered Nutritionist – She carefully focuses on internal and external problems that may arise before formulating a personalized diet plan with a focus on an improved diet, better lifestyle, and refinement of attitudes towards adopting and maintaining better practices. She specializes in Sports Nutrition, as well as gut and hormonal imbalances. Jess has been doing CrossFit for almost 6 years, as well as having a coaching background in competitive soccer for U18 teams for almost 10 years.
Lee Harrell
CFL1
Lee describes himself as your everyday gym goer, then in 2018 he stumbled upon CrossFit. He has been surrounded by excellent coaches along the way that helped foster the desire to become one. “They say, find your passion – well I found mine. I absolutely love this sport!”
Lee loves the fact that you can be working out next to an elite athlete or an 80 year old, essentially doing the same workout. It’s the only program he’s ever done that has shown significant changes. Lee promptly signed up for the CFL1 Certification and is excited to share is knowledge and passion for CrossFit with our members.
